Suwon Samsung of the professional soccer K League 2 has recruited veteran central defender Hwang Seok-ho, who was released from Ulsan HD in the K League 1.
Suwon officially announced the signing of the contract with Hwang through the club's official SNS on Saturday. Hwang's new jersey number is 90.

Hwang Seok-ho, born in 1989, started his professional career with Sanfrecce Hiroshima in the J-League in 2012. Except for a stint with Tianjin Tuda in the Chinese Super League in 2017, he mainly played on the Japanese stage until 2023.

He played for Kashima Antlers, Shimizu S-Pulse, and Sagan Tosu, and collected three J-League championships, as well as the J-League Super Cup and League Cup.

At the 2012 London Olympics, he played all the games full time as the starting center back for the Korean national team, contributing greatly to the historic bronze medal.

Hwang Seok-ho, who made his first step on the K-League stage by moving to Ulsan ahead of the 2024 season, played in 18 league games last year.

However, as Ulsan recruited young defender Seo Myung-kwan, who was born in 2002, the opportunity to play was greatly reduced, and so far, only three games have been played.

In the end, the contract with Ulsan remained until the end of this year, but both sides decided to terminate the contract early under agreement, and Hwang Seok-ho started a new challenge in Suwon without a transfer fee. 안전놀이터

Meanwhile, Ulsan, which is set to participate in the 2025 FIFA Club World Cup, previously announced the recruitment of Milos Trojac, a 191-cm-tall Polish defender.
